Hugh Jackman is bringing The Greatest Showman to Australian stages in August.
Jackman’s The Man. The Music. The Show. tour will see the superstar perform songs from The Greatest Showman, Les Miserables and other Broadway musicals and Hollywood movies, accompanied by a live orchestra.
Jackman, who announced the tour in Sydney today, will be joined on the tour by Keala Settle, who sang The Greatest Showman’s iconic hit This Is Me.
The Greatest Showman’s massive appeal to young audiences has seen 2pm matinee shows added in each city.
The tour plays Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Friday, August 2 (8pm) and Saturday, August 3 (2pm and 8pm); Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday, August 10 (2pm and 8pm) and Sunday, August 11 (8pm); Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Friday, August 16 (8pm) and Saturday, August 17 (2pm, 8pm); Perth’s RAC Arena on Wednesday, August 21 (8pm) and Saturday, August 24 (2pm); and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday, August 31 (2pm and 8pm).
Tickets go on sale Thursday March 7 from 9.30pm through Ticketek.
A Telstra Thanks pre-sale starts Thursday, February 28, with staggered times from 9.00am and is open until Monday, March 4.
The Greatest Showman soundtrack was the highest-selling album in Australia last year.
